I’m fairly new to nonprofits, but I like the audacity of it. While for-profits stay mind-melded to industrial-age hours, nonprofits can align with how knowledge work actually happens.

The first rule of quit club is don't talk about quit club. Smart strategy. Quitting is *you* energy, no need to give that away.

I bring small bit of medication buried within a small bit of cheese to this guy’s face *every night*
He will not eat it if I place it on the floor in front of him.
He will not eat it from a dish.

Every time I have looked up in a forest and thought, I’d like to capture this but it would be ‘just another upward tree shot’ I was dreaming of being able to snap something like this. So well done!

And because of what we all want to see: a person who is standing up—even after stumbling, even in the face of all that has been wrong—and walking directly toward the thing they are most afraid of. It’s what we yearn to see when we are touched by it; it’s what we ourselves yearn to be.

We fostered over 50 kittens in the last few years, but one sleek pantherkitty fellow like this still has me thinking about him all the time and thus questioning our “but we can’t adopt them all” policy. Lucky you!
