When you (Irish-American white boy) and your Thai girlfriend are trying to work out breakfasts, and co-cooking. Her: pork larb (lethally spicy), rice, eggs, fruit. Me: apple walnut muffins. We made enough larb for me to have some for lunch, though.

That was inSANE! Many, many times more marchers than there were in April. Walking was slow from the Civic Center to the Embarcadero because there were so many people, and even slower after that. No way we could all get into Waterfront Park. The Embarcadero was full from...

Sunday brunch. Changing it up a little now that I'm not stockpiling eggs anymore. Veggie frittata with pico de gallo and toast. Trying bigger chunks of veggie than the ground up ones I have used before.

Hey, San Diego peeps! I have a milkweed plant in my front yard that is crawling with Monarch butterfly caterpillars. They've completely decimated the plant and I don't have any more plants for them to eat. If you're in San Diego, and want the caterpillars, chat me and I'll let you pick them up.

One of my favorite pics of The Boss looking serious. He looks pretty damn good to me, and doesn't have to wear makeup. I'm a fan, always and forever. His was the first live concert I ever went to. Garden State Arts Center, back in 1975.

Weird thing: I've adjusted my sleep schedule so I've been getting more sleep lately, but it takes more caffeine to wake me up in the morning. I thought it was supposed to work the other way?
