YLE said "The red dots sit much closer to the green than the blue dots do...anti-vaccine content is far more connected to the places where undecided people are actually talking...evidence-based information lives in a largely separate network, far from the “main battlefield” for public sentiment."

It is going to be a bad FLU year and it is already a bad avian Influenza year. Reassortment is the short cut it will take when a dairy worker with seasonal flu goes to work and milks a cow with AVIAN FLU. I am moving to an island without ferry service if that happens.[thread]
December 9, 2025 at 12:31 PM
Instead of accumulating single point mutations, avian virus could also swap entire gene segments with a circulating human flu virus if a person is co-infected with both simultaneously. This could instantly create a hybrid virus (virulence of avian, transmissibility of seasonal flu) =pandemic threat.

On the human side: FLU case are increasing and although there is an excellent fit between the vaccine and the H1N1 type A and the type B FLU this year. The H3N2 FLU type A that is spreading in the US is not a good fit with this years vaccine. The dominant strain so far this year is H3N2. [thread]
