Mine arrived as a nice surprise yesterday! I have to say I love the sparkly tissue paper you wrapped it in 😊

Storygraph's end-of-year stats really bringing home the disparity between my reading speeds for English and Ukrainian 😅

(Although hilariously, this means it also took me less time to read a Ukrainian book from the 1800s than a modern one.)

I love tracking systems that give me detailed notes on each step. It's so exciting to refresh reach day and see it's moved somewhere new! Maybe a little *too* exciting, but hey ho. I'd call it my gift to myself for finishing NaNo, but it'll arrive too early for that 😅

It was a bit of a struggle to write through 'that day' of news, but I kept going. My #Writathon progress is going pretty smoothly so far.

I just ran my first ever dealers' table. A quiet event, but a great practice run and I had some nice chats. Definitely glad I got the big shelf for some verticality.

It's time to reveal the cover for Out of Exile!

Once again, a lovely design from Design for Writers. I'm so looking forwards to seeing it in print.

If you would also like to see it in print, follow the Kickstarter to be notified as soon as it goes live tomorrow: www.kickstarter.com/projects/fra...

The wheels, they are a-turning...

It is a truth universally acknowledged that a manuscript printed for the first time must develop at least one typo, unseen in however many rounds of editing have gone before.

On the bright side, the print quality of these little short story booklets I've made *is* amazing.

As I mentioned it ages ago, I should probably post it. This is the oil #painting I did of a scene from my upcoming book Out of Exile (delayed for health reasons, but should release this year).

Tbh what's funnier is the proximity of the bathroom door to the bed. Parkour!

Ugh, I did it, but my fingers hurt!

4,074 words added to the new book today, nearing the end of chapter 4. I'm 787 words ahead of schedule and get to slow down for the rest of the week now. Front-loading is over. It's back to work for me.

Front-loading going as planned for #NaNoWriMo. I've passed the 6,000-word mark and am nearing the end of the second chapter. Whether the chapter is any good or not remains to be seen at the end of all this.

Dinosaur death count: Still 2, for now.
