Carbuncle is too generic for this one, which was ordered up for Dublin by Paul Hyde and Michelle Fagan, the two former architect members of An Bord Pleanála (as was). I wrote in @irishtimes.com that it’s redolent of a sci-fi Portal of Darkness & as menacing as Darth Vader in The Empire Strikes Back.

Same with implementing BusConnects in Dublin: its most negative impacts, such as felling mature roadside trees, weren't just due to creating more space for buses, but to preserve routes for private cars and other traffic.
