In addition, we need to seriously start thinking of this in terms of democracies vs autocracies and act accordingly if we don't want to end up like the US or Russia. I'm not saying we should step in and guarantee South Korea's security against a nuclear North Korea but redraw the lines between us

without the US (but with Australia, NZ, Japan, South Korea and so on), condemn the Trump administration and threaten sanctions, support the democratic opposition in the US. The American people are still our allies, and they need to know we're with them.

Personally, I’d like to see less focus on Trump’s “desires” and more about the legal and moral constraints on his actions and proposals.
