My bad then, I thought their entry did say something like "typically evil". I agree that creatures being born evil is kinda lame, especially if they're intelligent like Dragons. Good thing though that the dm can do with that whatever they want

I think it can be explained by the fact that the different colours live in separate habitats and in a sense formed cultures which reinforced certain characteristics. I think my idea is supported by the fact they're described as "typically x"not "always x"

The British and French pushed for utterly insulting and humiliating treaties in 1919 that were disturbingly harsh and robbed multiple countries of their national dignity. Then they proceeded to cheat their own Allies and to top it off, they didn't even properly enforce these treaties.
