Knowledge from a tree: when you stop growing, you start dying
Well it's not hair, that's for sure

It's a good approach!

Liberal, Democrat, centrist and center-right are all different terms, if you are using liberal to mean centrist then we are talking at cross-purposes, regardless all are reachable at this moment and antagonism won't help bring them to your cause
March 27, 2025 at 10:03 PM
How about standing side by side with liberals at a Tesla rally and finding out what you have in common, you might be surprised - oh and maybe stop conflating liberals with the nebulus "centrists"
March 27, 2025 at 9:38 PM
And yet the OP closed comments herself, almost as if antagonism doesn't win friends? Both posts were stupid and misdirecting anger at the real threat
March 27, 2025 at 9:00 PM
The OP was about disregarding civility toward liberals. No one is assuming the left's responsibility, I am suggesting that if you want to influnece liberals then perhaps insulting them rather than finding common ground is folly?
March 27, 2025 at 8:42 PM
I don't know if you have noticed but the vibe has shifted, now is the time for moving dissafected liberals, but you aren't going to persuade anyone if you are attacking them, don't push them to the right
March 27, 2025 at 8:24 PM
That's a strawman idea of a liberal; don't confuse the political class with the popular; you can move reasonable liberals left but you aren't going to persuade anyone if all you offer is vitriol as in the OP
March 27, 2025 at 8:14 PM
Is your objective to influence or alienate liberals? Might be a good idea to identify your objectives and work towards them?
March 27, 2025 at 7:56 PM
The majority of liberals respect trans rights, you are conflating them with the minority and attacking a strawman idea of liberals - no one is victim blaming here but you but better to find common ground against the fascist assault than alienate potential allies no?
March 27, 2025 at 10:03 AM
Are you trying to influence or alienate liberals? Probably a good idea to find common ground and nudge them left rather than offer only criticism and shame, that's how the far-right have won so much influence

That's because domestic abusers are a key Trump constituent

The modern world they built is an alienating, dehumanising, exploitative nightmare, I'm not sure they should run it unless we want progressively enshittified services and ad reads slipped into government speeches

You do it enough it's hard to stay rubbish

I visited Ashdown last month for the first time since my childhood and its not hard to see how Milne was inspired by the place; it's kind of like visiting the Lake District and understanding Beatrix Potter on a visceral level

I think much of it is to do with the right wing domination of the narrative,
their beliefs are reinforced by the right-wing media and by the Muskovite takeover of Twitter, doesn't matter if they are based on fiction. The left needs a coherent shared narrative based on conviction and optimism.

I think that's already happened thanks to steroids - some call it the ozempic of getting jacked

Finishing up the Dark Souls series for the first time and no game has given me such existential crisis; the choice of whether to rekindle the fire to keep a decaying world order going or to extinguish the flame and let it die really does weigh heavy

Cult of the Lamb got a co-op update and it works really well, the roguelike aspect is forgiving in co-op and the town management is a lot of fun
