I appreciate the sentiment here, but would like to know why both Rep Sykes and Rep Scholten voted Yea on HR 2096 and Rep Scholten voted Yea on HR 884. Both of these pieces of legislation repeal DC laws - taking away the local rights of DC, a famously, heavily African-American city to govern itself.
