It was great to play with materials I had available. I'm kinda rusty, but this let's me know I still have it in me.

Still lots more to do. Thinking I'd need a few two hour sessions to teach, even with keeping things simple. Most of the people in my group haven't picked up a brush before, and I want them to have a sense of achievement, so going back to my original plan of painting silhouettes.

First layers to a painting I'm designing to teach. Going to be adding mixed media for something a bit different, and make the process a bit quick, so it fits into a two hour slot.

Had a play a few weeks ago with some colour relationships and different applications. This isn't so much a deliberate work of art as much as a test piece, but there are some elements of it that I actually really like. I do these now and then when I'm working things out for a painting.

Sums up my feelings about the happenings I encountered today

Keeping busy between tasks yesterday. I'd forgotten how calming it was to work with my hands. I did some today, too, which helped after dealing with a difficult person. I like that it's not a complicated pattern, so I don't have to think. I've been overwhelmed lately, so this is a nice break.
