I'm so glad this was posted. In academia, we're sometimes retaliated against when we negotiate and don't compromise. I wouldn't be surprised if the corporate world operates the same way.

Disparities in salary, benefits, bonuses, and conditions are no longer because "BW/WOC don't negotiate." We do!
