I celebrated Ostomy Awareness Day with Frederick County resident Patrick, who has an ostomy. An ostomy is a type of surgery that creates an opening in the abdomen that allows for the removal of bodily waste. Patrick also shared that the Phoenix Ostomy Closet will be re-opening soon!

What an incredible afternoon for the Valley Elementary School ribbon cutting! Additionally, it features the first Frederick County Parks and Recreation Gymnasium in the Jefferson area. With advanced tech and safety features for 745 students, this school will be a community hub. Go Vikings!

For Violet her low platelets manifest in significant bruising, leg pain, and having monthly blood draws. We loved being able to support Violet by wearing purple!💜

We had a special guest with us at Winchester Hall for Sport Purple for Platelets Day! Executive Assistant Abby's daughter Violet was diagnosed with immune thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP) early this March. IITP is condition where your immune system mistakenly attacks the platelets in your blood.
