Teufelshund, former Hill staffer, and never Trumper.

Gangster states and the Middle East are my bag, baby.
I'd say it's worth remembering South Vietnam was rated more free and democratic than Taiwan and South Korea in the early 1970s.

I think the only folks that should be subject to purity tests are the folks who voted for a Kremlin candidate over Harris.

The Gaza crowd comes to mind here again.

It's worth remembering the Gaza crowd's crowning achievement thus far is helping Trump get reelected.

I think that could apply to certain other leftist groups as well.

From a policy standpoint, that makes some sense. But Iran fanned the flames of the Gaza movement and adopted the Russian tactics of playing both sides to create chaos and polarization and flooding the zone with shit.

Russia was also behind a few election day bomb threats.

Russia, Iran, and China were all in on that one.

There's also a thing called 18 U.S. Code § 592 and a litany of state laws to think about.
January 25, 2026 at 7:48 AM
Actually, no. Trump got elected because MAGA figured out the best way to get political power is voting.

Getting a mob together in D.C. wasn't that hard.

Plus, I dealt with the USCP on a regular basis for a bit. I could completely understand how they would get caught flat-footed.

As things stand, Democrats are still winning elections and Republicans are still conceding.

Voter fraud in the U.S. is actually incredibly hard to pull off. And Trump's people shy away from hard stuff.

Plus, I'd say the odds of seeing ICE at polling places is pretty low. Even if they did show up, massive turnout would bury them. The local authorities might have something to say, too.

Well, I always enjoy reminding conservatives that the toughest president on Russia in my lifetime was both a conservative and a Republican.
January 25, 2026 at 6:31 AM
The U.S. isn't a dictatorship yet. Voter turnout better be through the roof in November.

But protesting is good, too.
January 25, 2026 at 6:28 AM
I'd say it's time for everyone's daily reminder that the American Gaza crowd and Communists helped Trump get elected.
January 25, 2026 at 5:07 AM
Oh, I think they will. And the best way to preclude any shenanagins is massive turnout. Plus, voter fraud is extremely difficult to pull off in the United States.

The Dems have shown some backbone and are starting to come around a bit, but only so much can be done without the votes.
January 25, 2026 at 3:44 AM
I don't think Trump is going to just blow over. But I know a thing or two about how to give people like Trump melt downs and the power of blue waves. Voting still works.

Plus, they don't call Trump TACO for nothing.
