I should clarify that this question came up on an 1940s marriage license in Arkansas. Arkansas marriage licenses had a bond for marriage license section of the process at that time.

I think it probably is Cave Spring. Could be an accent thing and family didn't hear clearly where they were from.

The phone number was from an advertisement in the LA Times in November 1930.

Sorry, I should have added that this was in Los Angeles County. I believe it was either the Gardena MOneta exchange or possibly the MOrningside exchange.
