A funny thing about movies in 4k, is that the actors look a lot less glamorous, more human, with pores, and hair. It makes me feel better about not having the completion of a Greek god.

RealityScan, yes, you're right. I do have a SATA SSD in my computer and I'm glad you want to use that instead of the NVME PCIe SSD that typically has read/write speeds of over 4 gigabytes per second.

Had a good time yesterday. It was a good day to take 45 minutes to 3d scan a train. We decided we liked the grey train the most, whoever designed it cared to make it neat and tidy, among other less obvious things.

Meshroom’s HDR Panorama builder works really well.
I took 100 EV bracketed pics free hand and threw them at the default HDR Pano config, it correctly detected 5 pics at 2 steps. I waited 6 hours but when it was done I had a bunch of EXRs, one at a monster resolution.

The opening ceremony was too powerful for the hotel, #Calfurry tripped a breaker and half the equipment went out. Good picture though. They continued without mics until they had power.

Just 3d scanning my friend's camera that costs more than my entire car. It came out pretty well. Lol, buttons are a little rough, if he wants better he can edit the pics to be a little clearer.

Did some videogrammetry last weekend, @vegawusky.bsky.social insisted, he used a Sony ILME-FX3 just as the sun was setting.
I was skeptical but the result is awesome for 3 minutes of video that was taken as it was getting dark, we’re going to reshoot later with a bit more planning.
