Seems pretty wild for a defensive position coach (and now DC) to be the passing game coordinator for several years. Broad knowledge seems perfect if you are going to hire a defensive minded coordinator (Shula) as HC.

Some have. Some haven’t. But it is a worthy consideration and probably more meaningful than whatever Cole Beasley thinks. I’m much more interested in Schoen’s insight.

This is all well and good. But he already had a HC gig and failed. I understand the Giants have been a bad franchise for years, but it is equally important to consider what he did when he finally got his shot as a head coach vs what some bills players said 5 years ago.

I’m more confident solely based on opponent. Jaguars were red hot coming in. Denver limped through a lot of their games in November and December, including that Jags road win. Broncos best win (GB) down the stretch only swung their way when Parsons and Love got hurt. It’ll be close, for sure.

You can give up some qb scrambles as a treat when you are otherwise busy limiting downfield passing, turning the ball over, stuffing the run and sacking the QB consistently.
