In July of 2009 the federal minimum wage was raised from $6.55 to $7.25 an hour.
$7.25 today has the same purchasing power as $4.95 in 2009.
We clearly have passively agreed that it’s a fair minimum wage.
Why do you personally feel that $7.25 an hour is an honest day’s pay for an honest day’s work?
I just read a Financial Times article entitled “UnitedHealth Shooting Stokes Mourning and Glee on Social Media”.
I’ve seen the glee, but where are the mourners? The closest I’ve seen are pearl-clutchers complaining about the celebration of Thompson’s murder, which isn’t the same thing as grieving.
