If, as Kristi Noem and others in the Trump administration state, the ICE officer who shot Renee Good was acting as he had been trained, then ICE agents are being trained to murder innocent citizens. What they really should be trained to do is not step in front of cars!

Multiple news agencies and the Portland Police have confirmed that a man and his wife were shot by a Customs and Border Protection agent last night in Portland, Oregon. It is noteworthy that the driver, once clear of the federal agents, called 911 for medical assistance.

Trump today stated that Fentanyl is a worse weapon than any bomb. But I have never heard of a case where people actively sought out the bomb, paid for it and then detonated it themselves. Fentanyl is a scourge. It is not a weapon of mass destruction. It is a medical crisis.

Today, Trump classified fentanyl as a weapon of mass destruction. He stated that he believed it kills 200k to 300k people per year. The latest figures on drug overdoses published by the National Center for Health Statistics lists the number of overdose deaths from all drugs at 105,007.

This was a very sad weekend, to be sure! The mass shooting at Brown University, the mass shooting at Bondi Beach and the murder of Rob Reiner and his wife brought darkness to the holiday season. The attached article describes the events that took place in Chicago earlier this month. A similar event occurred this past Saturday while children were preparing for a Halloween event. In both cases the children and community members were exposed to tear gas.
