i never said he is a peace maker. he just started a war. still i think it's good that after losing an election by 30 points maduro removed from power. trump does not like democracy but removing maduro is good for democracy. the overwhelming majority of venezuelans don't want him in power.

in ukraine zelensky did not lose an election by 30% and stayed in power despite that. it is a meaningful difference. you can hate trump all you want, but you cannot say that maduro was a legitimate ruler of venezuela.

he lost the elections like 60-30 in '24. he was not legitimate head of state and used extra-legal powers in his country extensively. i hate trump but maduro was an illegitimate dictator

i'm from the former eastern bloc (hungary) almost noone still speaks russian. but that was different. there were no russian internet and subtitled media then. everything was dubbed, and most people didn't want to learn russian to begin with.
