I'm mostly settling on this requiring a future D President that leans REALLY hard into the concept of absolute immunity granted via Trump V United States and willingness to either rapidly expand the court or being ready to openly defy the Roberts court.

I mean, I'm so down with this my actual thoughts would get me put on lists. How you move fast enough to break up the influence of these platforms within a 2-4 year window so that the outrage machine doesn't cause Congress to get all gun shy is the current topic I'm wrestling with.

A major issue IMO is the modern, easy-to-use internet has created closed feedback loops of shitheads having platforms that other shitheads congregate around that then leak out into the rest of the world. I'm not sure how to resolve this without a lot of government bullying.

I hate to be a white guy that feels confident he knows better, but I swear to god it's Congress has designed itself to be self-sabotaging. Right out of the CIA handbook type shit.

But if we do 10 years of investigations and have the committee of committees setup the committee on compiling a report on potentially forming a committee on considering investigating potential investigations, then we can keep the train rolling and avoid rocking the boat forever.

I don't think it's a case of him not understanding. He has an objective, which is to cry foul when on the defensive and to spite his perceived enemies when he has power and control.

I think the next Dem President is going to have to accept that they have a monopoly on the use of force and a SC that has already stated that the President can do whatever is necessary in the interest of national security.
