...so it was great fun to make the characters "stuck" and yet also not due to the game world. [2/2]

Yeah, not to mention the myriad of bottle episodes on TV that deal with similar ideas! So I was probably influenced by it indirectly via the influence of an influence, ha. Always been a huge fan of things set in one location... [1/2]

Absolutely, I see the lines connecting them 100%. Also definitely need to check out "The Exterminating Angel" which I've vaguely heard of but not seen!

Thank you for covering the game! I had never heard of "Quake/Friends" before this but I love that.

Ha! Some say I'm still stuck in the looping stream to this day...

And then, my next mainline project. I have something in mind and I'm currently pitching to places to get funding for it. If it happens, it's going to be bigger, better, and bolder than ever before. You'll be surprised. I hope I'll be able to share more next year. Until then! 📶

I'm moving onto finishing my Jackbox-esque side project which will (finally) release in the first half of next year. For real this time! Follow @ghost.camp for more on that.

There's still a few small updates to come to It Takes a War (Steam Deck optimisation, fixing any last remaining issues, a few small tweaks) but by and large it's "done" now.

But lastly, of course, thanks to YOU - yes, you! If you're reading this there are good odds you have helped support me in some way or another, so yes. Thank you to everyone who played the game, said nice words about it, or even just looked at the Steam page and went "nice".

Thank you to my friends and family who are always the most supportive bunch in the world. Your kindness means everything to me.

I'm sure I'm forgetting someone, so if you should be here but aren't, consider this a thanks too!

Thank you to all of the testers who helped me find about a million bugs. As a one person dev, tracking down issues is reaaaally difficult, so having you all participate meant a lot!

Thank you to BobbyBurm (@bobbyburm.bsky.social) for playing the role of AngrySharkGamer in the demo and the marketing. He did an incredible job especially considering how tight the timeline was to get it finished. I hope we see more of AngrySharkGamer one day!
