6. Super Mario Galaxy 2

Galaxy used to be my favorite Mario game until I finally played 2 recently. Incredible level design. Still a little bummed it doesn't have an observatory-esque hub world but I guess starship Mario will have to do. Star 242 is one of the hardest things I've ever done lol

5. The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker

Zelda is my favorite series. How could I not love the cartoony love art style and the sailing is very zen. One of the best. The remaster improves on an already amazing game.

4. Banjo-Kazooie

Like if Super Mario 64 had a sequel. Solidifying Grant Kirkhope as one of my favorite game composers. Love Rare's style and sense of humor.

3. Super Mario RPG

I had never played an RPG before so this game truly blew my mind. Loved the story and characters. Still my favorite version of Bowser. Staying at a hotel so long you go in debt and have to work as a bell hop to pay it off is an all timer gaming memory.

2. Beetlejuice (NES)

It was too difficult for young me to get anywhere but I loved the music and the weird ways it tried to adapt the movie, and playing as the ghost with the most.

1. The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask

Loved it as a kid but didn't appreciate how great it was until I was older.

Of course. Nintendo always prioritizes art direction over resolution and tech. I think it makes them a head of the curve cause a 300 million dollar budget with super realistic reflective puddles and windows that gamers still complain about isnt sustainable.

The Wii U version has a VR mod in dying to play

There's a great Wii U emulator.

They really want me to get NSO, huh...

Guess it makes more sense than Gamepass at this point

Weird price hike. For Christmas? Still $499 on the Nintendo store

Upgraded for work cause Unreal is a resource hog. I'm glad I did cause this is getting crazy. & I agree, the massive budgets for reflective puddles that people still complain about isnt sustainable. The pendulum has to swing to prioritizing art direction over realism or the industry will implode.

Nah. Nothing wrong with collecting as a hobby. And it's not your responsibility to gatekeep what people do to feel an ounce of joy in this capitalist hellscape that is destroying us. Not having a backlog changes nothing in a big picture sense. This ain't it.

It's pretty great looking especially in later levels.

Awesome game, I loved it.

did you try power cycling? Hold the power button down for 10 seconds until it shuts off. Then turn it back on. You could also unplug it from the wall for 10 seconds.

I am SO EXCITED for 2 new Tomb Raider games! Especially a stunning remake of my favorite.

And 2 Star Wars games! One being the racer I've been begging for. Hope there's VR. Fate of the Republic was genuinely shocking lol.

And my boy Leon is back in RE9!

And cant forget Mega Man!

You can tell Spielberg is a #horror director at heart. So many of his movies have such haunting imagery. I'm sure I'm not saying anything new about Jaws, there's a reason it's a classic. 10/10 would recommend.

Ranking:

Jaws
Duel
Sugarland Express

I love how the mechanical shark not working made this #film even better. Seeing Bruce less makes him way more scary. Scheider & Dreyfus are excellent but Robert Shaw is transcendent, especially in the monologue about where his shark blood lust came from.

The score is a lot more playful than expected, at times a jaunty sea adventure. Aside from the iconic theme that turns it into a horror movie. The mayor wanting to keep the economy going during a tragedy hits different after COVID. It's wild that he just explodes a child for one of the first kills.
