Finally nagged my partner into fixing his snowblower today, and he ended up breaking it worse. Off to Lowe's we go. They're almost out of snow shovels, by the way, and are mostly down to floor models for their snowblowers.

I remember finally conceding and dropping down just one difficulty level, and mopping the floor with the boss because I had spent so long getting so close on a much harder difficulty.

I distinctly remember Dante's Inferno in the 00s being like this -- at the highest difficulty level, spending hours trying to beat even that first fight with Death and just crying your way through the whole game. Learning how to struggle for a while until you overcome a challenge is a real skill.

Okay this but unironically, actually.

When I pick the highest difficulty level at character creation, and the game explicitly warns me “not recommended for first playthrough,” I want the game to beat my entire ass for the hubris I’m displaying.

I'd support making every dollar earned over $9,999,999 going directly to SNAP, WIC, Medicaid, and other funds that directly go to poor people.

I've worked and volunteered in housing, medical, and food sovereignty/security for years now. Easily the three most overrepresented groups in community service are 1. Muslims, 2. Older Catholics, and 3. Women.

These white churches are not led by any of these groups.
