It was all a bit of a disaster really. One couple completely forgot about it and didn't turn up. The other couple hadn't grasped the concept and - you've guessed - had eaten a huge lunch. So they barely ate anything. Fortunately, we've got 3 British friends coming tomorrow to mop up the leftovers!

Definitely a thing here in Mayenne - Super U even has BF offers on food!

Dining chairs are the bane of my life! I've been known to take my own chair when invited to a friend's house for dinner, to avoid the torture of several hours sitting on their bare wood, straight-backed chairs. They're very accepting of my foibles 😂 French dining chairs, in general, are awful 🙄
