I think the mom in Happiest Season has got to be the worst character. We're shown her snide comments, judgement, and obsession with perfection more than the dad yet at the end she equates her wanting to practice karate and not liking flowers to her daughters' hardships, which SHE contributed to

You know back in the day we called Moffat self-absorbed for making Clara one of the most important companions by having her split through time and space to CANONICALLY always have been a part of every Doctor's journey...

While TV Tropes doesn't have the best reputation, it certainly doesn't help that some tropes are written with clear misinformation. Like, did the contributors actually consume the media they're breaking down into helpful tropes or were they allowed to write what they clearly barely remember?

It's one thing for PBS to censor the word "fuck", it's another to censor "that sucks" for some reason, to the point it kills the rhyme and had me reeling more than what was happening on stage

Respect to small business owners who upload videos like "lol I only had 30 minutes to do this thing let me know how you think it turned out!" but still had time to set up their phones and shoot from different perspectives I would be dropping my phone on top of the cake under that pressure

Methinks something is up with the pet assets in the most recent Stardew Valley update (at least the brown dog because going over our previous saves, the rest of the dogs appear uncensored)

A feeling learned from Undertale never fails to make me hesitate whenever Clint requests to slay dust sprites in Stardew Valley

I think it's time to bring back "Casa de mi padre" (2012) which has Will Ferrell as a Mexican speaking better and clearer Spanish than Selena Gómez and actually included more Mexican talent than E. Pérez

Odd that Spielberg went hard against Roma (Mexican made) for being a Netflix-produced film that got several nominations and was determined to fight against streaming services yet has been strangely quiet now with also nominated, Netflix-produced Emilia Pérez (offensive Mexican imitation)

You truly never forget your first Stardew spouse
February 12, 2025 at 10:54 PM
Maybe Emilia Pérez is just Jaques Audiard's galaxy brained revenge in answer to another offensive and cliched Emil(ia)y in phonetically similar Paris

Another tidbit from seeing Hadestown live:
The gasps from the audience when Hermes straight up tells us that Eurydice "wasn't hungry anymore. What she was, instead, was dead."
Dropping the metaphors--down below, six feet under--and stating plainly that she chose die is shocking to say the least

Train the dog to ease her separation anxiety
ok
But how do you train the human to ease her own separation anxiety from the dog?
