If they can find a way to bring back variety show television, it might be enough to save this country

I disagree. Big market teams pumping up the fair market value of premium players, and their enormous disparity of revenue, contributes to the Brewers’ decision to trade a star player a year before he becomes eligible for a $30 million a year contract for more affordable younger players.

Home Alone which had supposedly Chicago cops speaking with New Yorker drawls rather than sounding like Dennis Farina, and plenty of other movies that have a grungy male character sounding like they are from Manhattan because actors disproportionately were in real life.

Now lift the special use requirement for any new hotel, and break the zoning hold that the lodging industry has over the city. You’re not going to get lower hotel rates until that changes.

I don’t remember being that awful as a kid. I almost loved the absurdity of it. Perhaps I’ll have to do a rewatch, but there were far great crimes committed on film over the last 50 years.

And for hack-stealing digital coins. Who needs to be a cat burglar when you can yank people’s wealth from the convenience of your own keyboard?

We have a friend whose family owned the same house in Lincoln Park from 1890something until 2008 when they sold it … and it was demolished. The family lineage properties, and that they still exist, are fascinating.
