an indicator of how many alts have >$1B market cap. high cap alts can skew the total alt cap charts, so i like this numerical view better. after a sustained parabolic move in # of alts over $1B cap, a drop below its 7 week simple moving average has meant an upcoming correction for alts and #bitcoin.
