Not only is Princess Mononoke my favorite Studio Ghibli film, it is one of my all time favorite films from any studio in any medium. It's right up there with 2001, Terminator 2, Little Big Man, and Ran.

(A week after spraining my ankle, I was kinda halfway on crutches and fell down the stairs, spraining my other ankle! That one healed though)

2: I was about 10 years old making a hurdle to jump over in our (furnished) basement out of random things like beanbag chairs and boxes. On my last jump, my brother shouted "BOO" while I was in the air and I startled and clipped my heel against the box at the end. Sprained ankle, lifelong hobble.

1: I got bored and annoyed while unloading the truck at work, and kicked a very large empty box which was a lot sturdier than I thought and hurt my toe. It still hurts more than a decade later.
