1st drawer took 3 days to do because I was learning to do half blinds & in the process destroyed a drawer front. This drawer took just 1 day. I hoped it would take half that but maybe tomorrow it will and I’ll wrap up the other 2 drawers, but I doubt it. I have other choring to do. #woodworking

First time I’ve done a half lap dovetail. Very tricky. Will try to do the rest (7) tomorrow but it’s slow work so might have to resume another day. #woodworking

Testing finish, hope to engrave and paint outside *before* glue up. Current front runner is 20 parts plum to 1 part Arabian nights. Over that I’ll do either soap finish or soap finish with Arabian nights mixed in. Letting that sit overnight and then will buff it and see. #woodworking

Sadly, it’s out of square. I can make it square with hand pressure so *maybe* it’ll be square with the drawers in place. #woodworking

Cut 6 dadoes today. The final one was more than 3x faster than the first one. My method: saw sides with a panel saw flush against a batten to depth, chisel out as much of the waste as you can in about two passes, score the corners with a knife, and then route out the rest. #woodworking
