Pacing was rated beneficial by 96.34% of patients, followed by lifestyle management programmes (including NHS and Expert Patient Programmes) at 90.24%. Diet management came third, with 83.33% patients rating this as helpful to their experience of ME/CFS over a 5-year period.

Pacing and lifestyle management courses (NHS or other) were rated highest (96% and 90%, respectively) among those that tried them.
Diet adjustments were third most helpful (83%). Medications for migraines (81%), pain (77%) and irritable bowel syndrome (76%) were also rated highly.
