Theft is bad. Artists can leverage AI tools that use their own material only. Artists can use AI for ideation and productivity, instead of execution. If artists get a better understanding of all that AI can do I think most will find ways that AI accelerates the process, not the soul of the work.

I see Republicans increasingly weaponizing the prevalence of government "waste fraud and abuse". This is not an attack vector that Dems can successfully ignore. It should be reflected back on them.
