I would rate it a 9 in terms of analyzing multiple reports. I can upload several radiology reports, my genetic marker report, the oncologist report, and then have it make a recommendation or search for a clinical trial based on my specific situation.

I would probably give it an 7 or 8 in terms of creating plain English reports. It doesn’t always get it 100% correct, but the mistakes are usually obvious. It certainly weeds out a lot of “scary” language reports use for innocuous conditions.

I see AI being used for I would agree is gimmicky, but it also can be a very powerful tool. I use it on a regular basis to interpret very technical radiology and oncology notes into a plain language reports. It’s also been very helpful in finding clinical trials specific to my condition.

I’ve never understood why vehicle license fees are not based on some calculation that includes weight and miles driven. If the goal is to use the license fee revenue for road maintenance, these factors seem more relevant than vehicle cost.

Crazy idea, but maybe part of the solution might be to start prosecuting violent criminals. Putting bus drivers in bulletproof boxes is a bandaid and does nothing to protect the passengers.

I think it’s too late at this point. Not just young folk, but all generations are no longer able to just be present in the world for even a minute or two. Look at any queue or any gathering of people and you’ll see 90% of them staring into a device, totally unaware of the world around them.
