That's not to say the safe can't be broken into - watching lockpickinglawyer has taught me not to put 100% trust into ANY physical lock.

It's A) a cool analogue way to store a backup and
B) a detterant against physical threat actors.

While stupid, there is a semi-legitimate reasson to limit password length. (Not complexity!) Calculating a password hash is expensive, this problem scales with password length.

Passwords aren't secure. You should really start using passkeys. Companies should also start to implement them.

Yeah, if your system requires you to set arbitrary password boundaries like this, it's stupid.

When it comes to database leaks, there's really not much you can do. It'll happen. What matters is how you store your data.

Even then, the best solution is SSO.
