I do find the body shaming of Gyökeres a tad extreme. Most other players would be branded as “unfit” or “off the pace”… “heavy” and “lumpy” isn’t something I thought I’d hear on this pod

And yes, some of the ways they struggle are probably unique to this team’s set up/approach. It would be weird if it wasn’t

Lot of literal core of jobs were not done. The fact that only one chance was created for the #9 at home against the worst team in premier league history is a much bigger issue than zooming in on one moment. And it wasn’t particularly unfamiliar.

Plenty of players in the first half were off their game. A very familiar script, that to me, is much more about the collective and their mindset, than individual moments

This looked very much like a vintage home stinker from seasons past. Not sure Gyökeres is the cause of this performance

Not sure I’ve ever seen the champions to be play quite that badly, but could of course be wrong. That was shocking and the worst performance of the season

Yep. Letting Trent & Salah walk in the summer would’ve cast the blame on the club’s leadership, not Slot, if things went wrong. Now they have Slot & Salah in a murder-suicide
