Same experience here, really loved the simplicity for a prototype I built. Make sure to check out what they do around metrics: you can have them scrape custom metrics from your app, then build dashboards for them in a fully set-up Grafana that comes with it. Packs a lot!

soverin.com might be an option, too. It’s not quite as cheap as purelymail, but still affordable and packs a lot imho.
