Yesterday was a Not Good Day on many fronts, compounded by the fact I reached out to a friend and heard nothing back.
Thankfully today was better, if only for the fact that I checked the mailbox and found 2 cards from friends.

Best present this year was an entirely unexpected pair of thongs from a friend. I had a blowout in my old cheap pair a few weeks ago, and the one friend who knew that found me these to replace them. Even managed to guess my shoe size correctly.

Mixed Carman’s Apple, Sultana & Cinnamon Gourmet Porridge with a pack of Sweet Potato, Pumpkin & Caramelised Onion soup (powder).
Its saltier than I would like, but I would eat it again.
The croutons and sultanas are a texture surprise though.

The folks who were supposedly coming over this afternoon have not turned up yet and have not made contact about it. It is not the first time that this has happened.

This has been a while coming, but I am now a keeper of bees! They are not *my* bees, but I know a guy who needed to put some hives somewhere, and I had a somewhere.
