You’ve been saying this for,literally, decades. Keep reminding folks!

It’s terrifying, frustrating, heartbreaking, and, I have to admit, a little bit fascinating to live through this in real time, maybe I should have been a historian.

Instead of freedom we should be discussing justice. But justice is far too complex for most of these folks to wrap their minds around.

When someone starts shouting about freedom or liberty I stop and think. Freedom is never a black and white thing, for every “freedom to”gained, there is a “freedom from”lost; an extreme example is of a pedofile (sp for algorithm), his freedom to, is in direct opposition to the child’s freedom from.

I saw someone online who implied they say “oh I put it on just in case, I googled these new symptoms I was having this morning and it says it might be Ebola. It’s probably no big deal though” then watch their reaction.

And, just like last time, privilege will shelter a lot of MAGA voters from the worst of the consequences while the historically disenfranchised will, once again, be on the front lines.

They don’t actually want kids to have healthier food, they want people who can afford healthier food to buy expensive food and those that can’t will just starve. Because whatever they say right now the republicans are absolutely not going to spend government money to get poor people fruit and veg.

Does anyone ever consider the impact that the dead, disabled, and/or distracted because they're mourning their loved ones butts has on their *bottom* line?
