ADHD elder millennial, recently discovered #ActuallyAutistic. Be my body double as I navigate mom life with two neurodivergent kids.
Late to Blue Sky & late to autism diagnosis. Assessment in process. (prev dx ADHD) struggling with transitions—of course switching platforms is hard. Just throwing myself out randomly (not great for the algorithm). If you’re up for connecting with a lost autistic person, hi! #latediagnosedautistic

POV: You’re an elder millennial discovering you’re autistic after 30+ years of thinking you were just ‘bad at life. #ActuallyAutistic

If you’ve met one #autistic person, you’ve met one autistic person. Autism isn’t always visible—you probably can’t see it. If someone tells you they’re autistic, believe them. No need to question it, just listen.

I don’t like change and I resist it. But here I am, starting a new social media account. An elder millennial navigating late-diagnosed autism. Previously dx with adhd in the 90’s. Pursuing a formal diagnosis has been challenging. #audhd

ADHD didn’t explain it all, and autism didn’t fully resonate—until I understood how the combo creates a unique experience. The more I hear from others with late diagnoses, the more I resonate, and my life finally makes sense in a way I never knew it could!

I actually figured out I’m autistic/ADHD first but it most definitely makes parenting my neurodivergent children easier now that I understand my own neurodivergence.

Autism Assessment Update:
Per my usual, I misunderstood—this was the pre-appointment to the assessment, which is an even longer wait… and expensive. The therapist, though, was incredibly nice and affirming as I cried and infodumped all over her. Progress, I guess?

I grew up thinking something was wrong with me. After much research and self-assessment, I realized I’m autistic, and everything finally made sense. The shame started to fall away. Tomorrow, I take the next step with an assessment.
