Boneless Kitty

Year 7 science class today was all about the menstrual cycle. One boy got confused when the teacher started talking about an egg being released. He thought it was the size of a chicken egg.

Why did no one warn me about toxic kitten farts?! 🤢

First day back after half term and I’m exhausted.

It’s taken 3 pairs of socks, included a fluffy pair, to stop the chilblanes in my toes. And I’ve been at home for most of the day! My circulation is getting worse.

I did a thing! Despite the pain and discomfort in my jaw and zero energy, I made soup for the next few days! 4x pea soup and 4x lentils, bacon and sweet potato soup! And I made some apple sauce to mix in with yogurt. I think I need a lie down before I start the kids dinner.

What a year this January had been.

It’s the end of term and I’m mentally, emotionally and physically exhausted and I’m not even a teacher, just in the front office. I have no idea how teachers do it. I’m ready to hibernate until January.

I had my first ever unplanned fire evacuation yesterday. It was quite exciting!

I rarely make anything with the things I dye as I dye them to sell. Well this time I wanted to make a little Christmas cross stitch with the floss I dyed in day 9.

It’s Dye Time!

This week I dye some yarn that I scoured and spun myself. I still can’t believe I took some dirty fleece and turned it into this! It was a lot of fun dyeing this yarn, using dyes I don’t usually use.
