Originally from the musical Jekyll & Hyde, It’s a Dangerous Game is a duet about temptation, denial, and the dangerous thrill of attraction that should never be acknowledged, let alone acted upon. In the stage version, it’s a tense push and pull between characters who both know they’re crossing a line. That tension translates perfectly into the Hellaverse, for a LOT of characters. When Frostbite first began, it started as a roleplay built on the idea that Andrealphus had been sent to Earth with Verosika to keep her out of trouble. But after countless days on tour, nights on stage, and miles between them and anyone watching, the walls between them start to thin. I suppose I just wanted to see if I could pull it off. "Legends Never Die" is a power anthem from League of Legends, and today we've reimagined it for Charlie Morningstar as a tribute to her resilience, her vision, and the Hell she’s willing to walk through to make that vision real. As with my recent experiments, all vocals are recorded from real human performances, then filtered through AI modulation to match character tone. The result keeps the emotional honesty of a raw take, but with the nuance and style of a fully voiced performance. (And yeah... a full gender flip in the process. Gotta love tech.) Any version of "Legends Never Die" isn't just about myth or grandeur. It’s about effort to the point of pain to achieve for something better, rising after every fall, and becoming more than what the world expects of you. That’s Charlie. That’s the whole point. In the world of Hazbin Hotel, flipping the script felt natural, and honestly, I think Doro would approve given the context of the show. Sung from Vaggie’s perspective, this is a ballad about her love for Charlie Morningstar. Not in spite of her being a demon, but because of who she is. It’s about finding strength in a partner no one else in your world understands, walking through darkness with someone who carries her own light. Not much is known about Husk's past in Hazbin Hotel, but this song imagines a time when Husk was at the height of his influence. House of Fortune and Sin was written by Frostbite member Badru, to commemorate roleplay she’s shared with someone playing Husk. Husker wasn’t always a washed-up bartender, he was once an Overlord. In this vision of his past, we imagine him as the Overlord of a casino. He ran the game, he was the house. And the house always wins... until the night it doesn’t. Husk’s player provided an image of what he imagined the casino looked like. While that original visual didn’t quite fit the thumbnails’s aspect ratio, something strange happened: I found a photo of a street that just happened to align perfectly with Husk's image: The real-world location used as the New York Continental Hotel in John Wick: the Beaver Building at 1 Wall Street Court. It was the kind of fun coincidence that made my life a bit easier whipping up the thumbnail. Velvet lights. Empty chairs. Dice still spinning. Husk’s kingdom, lost in smoke. Or was that yours? "All Along the Watchtowers" is a reinterpretation of Bob Dylan’s iconic All Along the Watchtower, filtered through a haze of magic, mythology, and Hell-born royalty. Dylan’s original version was stripped down and poetic, full of spiritual unrest and prophetic tension. Jimi Hendrix turned it into a storm of electricity and urgency. Bear McCreary gave it an otherworldly edge in Battlestar Galactica, and that’s where my brain really lit up. This version draws from Dylan’s bones, Hendrix’s fire, and McCreary’s atmosphere. When I heard the line "All along the watchtowers, the princes kept the view," I couldn’t stop imagining the Goetia demons as the Guardians of the Watchtowers, like the elemental sentinels of modern Wiccan practice. The idea twisted and bloomed into something new: a song from Stolas, standing on a tower at the edge of war, unraveling prophecy, pride, and paranoia. I say "edge of war" because I am betting good money on an imp uprising in the later seasons of Helluva Boss.

Today's track is a cover of "Run With Us", the title track to the Canadian animated series The Raccoons. This version features Bee and Vortex in the leads, with four unique versions of the track: Two in the video, and two more included in the downloads. Originally written by Kevin Gillis and Jon Stroll, and performed by Lisa Lougheed on her album EverGreen Nights, it remains one of those underrated 80s gems. Emotional, bold, and strangely timeless. It was Lisa's only hit before she more or less disappeared from the music world. I've always had empathy for that story, for obvious reasons. More importantly, this track marks a real moment of growth for me as a creator. All vocals are human sourced, belted into a mic, and then though run through AI voice modulation for character tone. I don't sing like Bee, or Vortex, or Verosika, or Andrealphus, but this method lets me put exactly the emotional resonance I want into the music. This piece is based on Poem for a Dead Kitten by Sara Henderson-Hay, a quiet, aching reflection on love, loss, and the small lives that leave enormous holes in our hearts. We recorded this as a short after one of our close friends, Dani, lost her beloved cat yesterday. There’s no fixing that kind of loss. There’s only mourning it, remembering it, and sitting with it for a while. This song is us sitting with Dani, in that space. Originally performed in the My Little Pony Movie, Open Up Your Eyes was Tempest Shadow’s turning point, an emotionally charged confrontation with Twilight Sparkle, meant to shatter her idealism and pull her into a colder, crueler truth. It's one of those rare villain songs that hurts because it's almost right. It’s not just about power, it’s about pain, betrayal, and the clarity that comes after you're done pretending everything is okay. This cover presents two versions of that song, each one reimagined through a very different lens. The first is sung by Emily, a wrathful outcast angel, to Lute, her prideful, imprisoned rival in Heaven. Here, the song becomes a dark seduction, an attempt to break Lute’s faith, to twist her toward vengeance. It’s bitter, personal, and laced with too much truth for comfort. The second version flips the context again: Octavia, angry and abandoned, sings to her father Stolas, as she turns her back on family in favor of her own path. Where Emily is vengeful, Octavia is hurt. Where Emily tries to convert, Octavia tries to escape. But both versions echo the same theme: what happens when the people we trusted the most let us down, and we decide we’re done waiting to be saved. Two voices. Two betrayals. One song. Originally released by Creedence Clearwater Revival in 1969, Fortunate Son was written as a protest against the hypocrisy of privilege during the Vietnam War. It wasn’t just anti-war, it was anti-power, anti-elitism, and fiercely anti-lies. I had the music sitting around forever, drove home, evaded being part of a hit and run accident, and then slammed this out in one take, warts and all. It's crap. Of course it's crap, I made it. But Secret Loser... damn, if there's a song in this world for me, that's it. Today, I just had to get it out there. Alongside Dio, Motörhead, Dokken, and Manowar, Ozzy formed the sonic backbone of my youth. In high school, when I was isolated, angry, and sometimes suicidal, it was Ozzy's voice that reached into the darkness. When I struggled with addiction, when the specter of nuclear war hung over everything, when I needed either power or punishment, he was there. He gave me fantasy when I needed to escape. He gave me rage when I needed to scream. He gave me catharsis when I needed to grieve. Ozzy’s music didn't judge me. It understood me. Without him, and without heavy metal, a miserable childhood would have been far worse. He was a madman, a legend, a broken saint of the stage. And now he’s gone. Phil Collins’ In the Air Tonight is one of those songs that changed everything. Released in 1981, its sparse, haunting verses and thunderous drum break gave it a mythic, almost ritualistic quality. A slow, icy build of betrayal, quiet rage, and something darker simmering underneath. When it appeared in the pilot episode of Miami Vice, soundtracking Crockett’s brooding drive toward inevitable violence, it redefined what music could do in a visual story. This version takes that iconic framework and reframes it through the eyes of Lute, whose journey is shaped by grief, fury, and the need to punish what she cannot forgive. If the original song was about personal betrayal, this one is about cosmic betrayal; about Heaven, war, and watching someone you love die for a cause that never deserved them. So you think anyway. Let's face is, Adam's a jerk, and Lute is addicted to a toxic relationship. Lute isn’t Crockett driving through Miami. She’s an angel armed with wrath and heartbreak, walking through fire to deliver justice, or at least, what she believes justice has become. She’s not waiting for the moment anymore. She is the moment. The hardest part of this video was not going back to correct a typo. It's one of those things where if I thought the song had legs, it would be worth fixing. A cover of Dire Straits’ "Money for Nothing", retooled for the Hellaverse and aimed squarely at the absurdity of mass media and digital content culture. It’s satire, it’s commentary, and yeah... it’s also me making fun of myself. The original song mocked the spectacle of MTV and the fantasy of easy fame. This version shifts that lens toward algorithm-choked platforms, parasocial feedback loops, and the mindless scroll of clout-chasing content. Being a musician used to be the slacker dream. Now it’s the hustle. Today, the real slacker path is digital creation, and let’s just say I’m more likely to get a blister from my mouse than my guitar. And then there's the ending. The video closes with a reference to the 1987 Max Headroom broadcast hijack, one of the most legendary unsolved hacks in television history. During a local news segment on Chicago’s WGN and later during a PBS Doctor Who broadcast, an unknown figure in a Max Headroom mask broke into the signal and delivered a distorted, chaotic monologue before the feed cut. No one was ever caught. No message was ever explained. It was weird. It was creepy. And it was perfect. In this video, that same kind of hijack happens to a broadcast from Vox. A glitchy, surreal interruption from a newer, better, younger hacker. Someone taking over the feed the way creators take over platforms.... faster, sharper, and with no interest in playing by the old rules. Different tech. Same message. Nothing’s real.
