The launch week of Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection is nearly upon us and I personally can't believe we are finally here. This collection has been a dream of mine for a long time and I am so thankful for the amazing development team I got to work with on it. We hope you enjoy it.

The Game Boy titles in Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection support a number of selectable color palettes based upon the different handheld variations, including the lesser-known Game Boy Light. Play these games like YOU want to play them.

We even added in phosphor decay for authenticity.

Thanks to Dan Forden for all his contributions to not only the Mortal Kombat franchise, but also to video game history, in general. It was an absolute pleasure to meet him and have him involved in Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection. Until our paths meet again... stay Toasty!

I'm so proud of what Digital Eclipse has accomplished over the past few years...

• Guinness World Record (Atari 50)
• BAFTA Nominee (Tetris Forever)
• Grammy Award winning soundtrack (Wizardry: PGotMO)

The folks who work here truly are amazing and I greatly appreciate them all.

It may be 40 years old, but Clue remains a true classic that has aged like fine cognac. I'm so happy I got to not only see all three endings again before it disappears from theaters, but also got to watch it with people who have never seen it before. That made it truly special.

MORTAL KOMBAT!!!!

Happy Mortal "Saturday" to everyone... It may not be a Monday this year, but I hope everyone picks up and plays the Genesis or SNES version of Mortal Kombat today in order to celebrate one of the best video game marketing campaigns of all time. #PrepareYourself

It's retired at this point, but I still have my very first custom-built joystick. Blanka fan 'til the end.

The biggest goal we strive to achieve with our collections is to give gamers the historical context on why these games are so important and why they should care about them. This is the surest way to bring in new fans. Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection will be no different.

FINISH THEM... AGAIN! Thanks to everyone who came out to see Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection at #sdcc2025, #Evo2025, #Gamescom2025 or #PAXWest2025. We had such an amazing time talking to you all and can't wait until you can get your hands on the finished product.

There are more Mortal Kombat lanyards at #PAXWest2025 than you can throw a Reptile Forceball at. Thanks for the photo, Dant.

Time to find out whodunnit. I wonder what ending they will play. #Clue40th

Were you team SNES or Genesis?
August 21, 2025 at 6:25 AM
While a rare sight for most Genesis owners, the 32x did have a number of fun games, including a pretty great version of Mortal Kombat II.

Amazed to find out that #SF30th just surpassed Street Fighter IV in unit sales. It's amazing to see the collection still continue to move up the Capcom charts even 7+ years after its release.

While I knew several folks who grew up playing the Game Boy version of the original Mortal Kombat, I spent all my money on both the Genesis and SNES versions on Mortal Monday. Now, all three appear together in Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection.

For those that never owned a Master System, the Game Gear was a decent substitute with the benefit of a larger color palette.
