6. Make it easy to find you

Stick your socials everywhere they can possibly go on your Steam page. Maybe even make a clickable image in your description that players can just click on.

Not everyone will do the work to look you up.

5. Still do outreach

There are a ton of demos and even more, underpaid and overworked journalists. It’s hard for them to keep up.

Reach out on social media or send out an email.

There’s a lot of value in networking with the press!

If there are any aspects of your game’s page that doesn’t fit where the project is currently, then change it.

A game page with no updates makes it look straight-up abandoned.

2. Don’t create a separate demo page.

Sure, this helps with visibility when people search for your game, but two pages means two different numbers on the backend.

Your demo page could do great while your game’s page does terrible.

1. Stream to your Steam page.

This lets people casually browsing the store page see that something is going on on your page. That curiosity alone could result in a wishlist.
