There are alternatives to literal rebasing. I’m partial to unit trays that have spacing and borders that provide the right frontage, but you can get individual size-up adapters too.

I get that 6th is the most beloved of later WFB editions (and I helped playtest it when I worked at GW). But I always liked 8th just fine. I might’ve been in too deep to see the flaws!

That I would say is a ‘yes’. You got your LGBTQ marines in WD but they have wiggle-room for anything interesting. GD rules are somewhat rigid. The thematic stuff IS subject to individual judges interpretation but a chapter having a strongly consistent color scheme is pretty fundamental.

Additionally, however it is worded what they are looking for in GD has never really changed. I ran GD in the USA for years. Judgement is of course subjective, but I can’t remember a time a judge bounced a chapter from consideration for the colors if otherwise it was painted well enough.

You can do it. You’re just using a color scheme. The idea behind SM chapters was to allow fans to choose their own. You’re not throwing a lot of counter-to-canon backstory on there. If really concerned pick the most martial or ‘butch’ of the schemes you are considering.

In any government operation fuckups are gonna happen. It is just a given considering the usual complexity and human judgement involved. This particular administration just doesn’t want to give any ground on this possibility in any of their policies. Draconian all-or-nothing thinking.

Actual model cement, with a cap-brush, is available in a lot of brands. If you look at the GSI Creos (Mr Hobby) line you can really get granular on the cements’ viscosity. They have like four levels of thickness. I wouldn’t suggest too much fixating but the they all have their specific uses.

To be honest I’m partial to FSS kits myself, so much of my own mecha modeling isn’t strictly Gundam.
