It's time to announce our 2025 FSNNA #FanStudies Conference's 3rd headliner...

It's DR. ALFRED L. MARTIN!!

He's an assoc. prof (Uni of Miami) & will be leading the session on Oct. 26- "Rejecting the Reputed Center of #ReceptionStudies: #Blackness, #Capital, and Power"

It's time to announce our 2nd headliner for the 2025 FSNNA Conference

It's DR. MEL STANFILL!!

They're a media studies scholar & associate prof (University of Central Florida) & will be leading a roundtable session on Oct. 25th titled " #Fandom Is..."

She's an assistant prof (the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen) & will be leading a panel on Oct. 24th titled " #Fandom #Nationalism: Comparative Insights from East Asia"

There are significant similarities and differences of this hobbyist to what we identify as fans today.
