The thing is I love longwindedness, the person reading my statement of purpose on my most recent round of applications had to tell me no sentences over three lines, but this longwindedness is mostly obfuscation.

I sort of appreciate this as an academic because I love nonsense, but also there's a point where you just have to go "don't play dumb with me"

So Hazbin could absolutely reach for something more complicated, but that's not the cultural baseline a lot of people raised Christian expect, which is a shame
