I don't get this, there are still people today who look down on people who play video games. Because it's a "waste of time", but watching TV-shows or movies is fine for them... Like ok....

It feels like a larger % of gamers have a mindset of "I'm not succeeding therefore there's something wrong with the game." in contrast to "The game is doing this, what it is expecting of me?"
