I’m having a very hard time adjusting to occasionally rooting for MTG.

I grew up in rural US. What I can say is we had little diversity of people, knowledge, or information. We had a couple of reliable broadcast channels, no cable, and radio was all right wing talk or right wing bible stuff.
Many of our rural neighbors just don’t know the wider world. Or the truth.
