I still remember being laughed at at fucking Taco Bell in my hometown because I asked for a cheesy potato burrito with rice instead of beef. Like I literally gave them the substitution (which I had had at a different taco bell in a bigger town and it was fine)

Imagine if newspapers instead wrote something like, "According to police, the suspect tried to hit the officers with his car. In 35 out of 37 statements issued by this department over the past 5 years, police gave false initial statements, later contradicted by their own bodycam footage."

I couldn't put this any better. M*A*S*H is just so sincere and genuinely funny but also devastating and heartbreaking and frustrating...just such a special piece of media.
