I think games shouldn't have optional rules -- but designers should have multiple games. I want to play Game in an evening, Game Lite with the kids, and Advanced Game if I'm having a wargaming-weekend with friends or Game starts to feel too simple.

@hammerthebacklog.bsky.social I'm following your example, and will be attacking the 15mm pile of shame. You seem to have a good idea of how many HtB points of 28mm you can do in a week; any insights on what that's worth in 15mm minis?

If I were king for a day, I'd require all publishers, every time they release a rules expansion, to also release a new version of the core rulebook incorporating that expansion.

I'm doing .. not great on my New Year's Resolution. Okay; not great. The score thus far is: Acquired 98, started 60, finished 76. My Pile Of Shame™ continues to grow, but I can see more empty tabletop than at New Year. 😁

@richplane.bsky.social Bug Report. IsItFlooded reports New Walk went underwater (2.45m) at 20:40 yesterday -- but the linked Viking Recorder says it happened at 14:00. And my family says it was definitely blocked by 18:00. 😉
