My one request for all community involvement: meetings that aren’t at 7pm, as a parent with young kids. Doesn’t matter if it’s online or in person, evening meetings make it impossible.

My in-laws’ home is pretty decent, but they have a big staircase and even with a gate with a 16 month old now it’s just up and down up and down up and down, meanwhile the 5 year old wants to do archery? 🙃

Not exactly? Quebec and Ontario were probably settled more substantially at first because of the St Lawrence River and the Great Lakes. But settlement did happen in the eastern provinces too.

In my condo there always seems to be at least a few 2 bedroom units for rent with notices posted on the bulletin board. Not sure if that’s a city-wide indicator though. But if there’s a building you like, maybe ask to check the notice board?
